We're always looking for feedback and input from parents. Here's how one parent feels about QuIP:
If you're looking for a place that will allow your child to participate in a caring inclusive environment in which they will grow and excel in school, have fun and be engaged as an active member, I highly recommend you enroll them in Santa Teresa's QuIP program.
My son has established a good relationship with the teachers in this program as have I. QuIP has provided the kind of learning environment that promotes collaboration, critical thinking and good citizenship. My son was excited to show me pictures on the blog about the various lessons on the Cask of Amontillado in addition, they even had a mock trial of sorts. When they went on a field trip around downtown San Jose to calculate and map out a tour based on a set of instructions, it reflected learning in a real world environment.
I love that the 3 teachers work together on many things including their classroom learning assignments and are very responsive to me. I'm very excited that my son is a part of this inaugural class. I also have a very good understanding of our current education system as I'm an elected board trustee of a K-8 Elementary School District which I am only now disclosing in order to give potential parents a better understanding of my ability to rate and understand this program.
Thank you for the great review!
